McNeil Brands/Tylenol Recall March 2011

Dear Readers,

As some of you are no doubt aware from the news and the web, a number of consumers have reported a “musty odor” coming from bottles of Tylenol, leading to yet another recall of McNeil brand OTC pharmaceutical products. The musty odor is caused by one of the preservative agents, used to keep the drug from degrading. Provided below is the LOT number which can be found on the bottom of the bottle, usually near the expiration date: ADM074. This applies to more than 34,000 bottles of the Tylenol 8 Hour Extended Release, distributed throughout the U.S.
